TEHRAN – Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan has said that Iran clinched a new agreement with Russia and the previous one will be completed and Iran will receive S300 missile system by the end of the current year of 2015.

In a televised interview aired on Saturday, he said that the former agreement of the S300 was cancelled, however, the Russian government promised to remove the impediments to the agreement.

He also said that Iran will build Cruise and Ballistic missiles according to its needs.

Elsewhere, Dehghan said that Iran defends independence and territorial integrity of the countries and defends the resistance axis.

He said that all the neighboring countries to Iran are aware of the fact that Iran does not seek to interfere in the countries’ affairs.

According to Press TV, Moscow had banned the delivery of the missile defense system to Tehran in 2010 under the pretext that the agreement it signed with Iran in 2007 was covered by the fourth round of the UN Security Council sanctions against the country over its nuclear program.

Russian President Vladimir Putin paved the way for delivery of the S300 system to Iran by signing a presidential decree on April 13.
